TAKE NOTE (Insights and Emerging Technology)
The Contracting Office released an announcement on the GSA Interact website on September 12, 2024. According to the announcement, based on the protest timelines, GSA anticipates the OASIS+ Small Business Pool contracts to be available for ordering by mid-December 2024.
Furthermore, while the agency is working through the OASIS+ SB protests, it is moving forward with the OASIS+ socioeconomic, OASIS+ Unrestricted, and OASIS+ 8(a) awards. Awards announcements for the socioeconomic Set-Asides Pools, including HUBZone, SDVOSB, and WOSB are planned for late September 2024. Award announcements for OASIS+ 8(a) and OASIS+ Unrestricted are planned for late October 2024. Please note that the OASIS+ Socioeconomic, 8(a), and Unrestricted Pools Awards will be made on a rolling basis. If following Award announcements, an offeror has not been notified of their award status, the offeror is still being evaluated as part of the rolling awards. This cycle of rolling awards will continue until all awards are made. The Contracting Office previously stated that Ordering Contracting Officers with their Delegation of Procurement Authority (DPA) can start placing orders approximately 7-10 days after the Awards/NTPs are issued for each contract. The GSA also previously stated that their goal is to have an ordering period overlap between the legacy OASIS and OASIS+ programs to ensure acquisition planning cycle times for GSA customer agencies remain seamless. Furthermore, OASIS+ Solicitations will reopen in FY2025 and will be continuously open to receive offers. |

SAP’s AI Portfolio
Intro
Artificial intelligence is clearly transforming industries at an unprecedented pace, and SAP is at the forefront of it all. SAP offers a comprehensive portfolio of AI services designed to meet the diverse needs of businesses across various sectors.
SAP AI Business Services are reusable microservices on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). with underlying machine learning models that tackle some of the most common business problems. The models are pretrained and/or customizable, which means you can use them as they are, but you can also retrain them with your own data. You can access the services either through the RESTful APIs or via a Python SDK.
The portfolio of the SAP AI Business Services includes the following services:

Q. What is Generative AI? How is SAP using generative AI?
A. Generative AI, or generative artificial intelligence, is a type of AI that can create new content such as text, images, music, videos, and audio. Generative AI models are trained on large amounts of data, and then use that data to create new content that’s statistically likely to be relevant to a given prompt. Generative AI is different from traditional AI, which is rule-based and can’t learn from data or improve over time.
Here are some examples of generative AI:
- ChatGPT: A generative AI model that uses the GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) architecture to generate human-like text.
- DALL-E: A generative AI model that generates images.
- Sora: A generative AI model that can create detailed, photo-realistic video clips from annotated video.
Generative AI can be used in many ways, including:
- Media creation: Generative AI can be used to create stories, images, videos, and music.
- Product development and design: Generative AI can be used to help with product development and design.
- Risk mitigation: Generative AI can help identify potential risks to an enterprise by analyzing data such as customer transactions and software code.
- Sustainability: Generative AI can help enterprises comply with sustainability regulations.
SAP uses generative AI in a variety of ways, including:
Chatbots
Generative AI can create human-like text responses, making chatbots more engaging and capable of longer conversations.
Virtual assistants
Generative AI can create more interactive and sophisticated virtual assistants.
Business operations
Generative AI can help businesses gain insights into business objects and quickly navigate to applications.
HR
Generative AI can help streamline and automate HR processes, such as approving and requesting time off.
Sustainability reporting
Generative AI can help automate ESG reporting, freeing up time for driving sustainability strategy.
Data analysis
Generative AI can help answer analytical questions faster, enrich data models, and discover data.
Cheers!
